Disclosure & Release of Liability

Please read this disclosure carefully before engaging in services offered by From Sun to Stars.

Nature of Services

The services offered by From Sun to Stars, including end of life doula support, life transition support, Reiki, sound-based practices, reflective coaching, and presence-based accompaniment, are non-medical and non-clinical.

These services are intended to provide only emotional, spiritual, and supportive care. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition.

Not Medical or Mental Health Care

I am not a licensed medical professional, therapist, counselor, or mental health provider. The services I provide are not a substitute for medical care, mental health treatment, psychotherapy, counseling, or emergency services.

Clients are encouraged to seek appropriate medical, psychological, or psychiatric care from licensed professionals when needed and to continue all prescribed treatments and medications.

Voluntary Participation

All services are provided voluntarily. Clients choose to participate in services offered by From Sun to Stars with a full understanding of the nature of the work and acknowledge that they may discontinue services at any time.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for their own physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being during and after sessions. Participation in these services is undertaken at the client’s own discretion and risk.

Release of Liability

By engaging in services offered by From Sun to Stars, clients agree to release and hold harmless Abigail McKay and Compassionate Conversations/From Sun to Stars from all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in these services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

No Guarantees

Results from services are subjective and vary from person to person. No guarantees, promises, or assurances are made regarding outcomes or results.

Confidentiality

All personal information shared during sessions is treated with respect and discretion. Confidentiality is maintained to the fullest extent possible, except where disclosure is required by law (such as risk of harm to self or others).

Acknowledgment

By scheduling or participating in services with From Sun to Stars, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to this disclosure and release of liability.

A copy of this Disclosure will be given to you for official signature by both parties.
